Conjunto Distinto

Conjunto Distinto was born from the musical dream of a family of brothers passionate about music. It all began under the name Los Hijos de Moreno, when Juan started playing the guitar and Alfredo discovered his love for singing. At that time, the group consisted of just guitar and vocals.

As time went on, a family uncle put an electric bass up for sale, which caught the brothers’ attention and inspired them to add it to their small ensemble. That moment sparked a deeper interest in music among the rest of the siblings. Their father, always supportive, bought an accordion for Josue and a toy-sized drum set for Emmanuel, the youngest brother. From there, they decided to shift their style to norteño music, though they kept their original name.

Later, they felt the need to adopt a name that better reflected their identity as a norteño group. It was during this stage of evolution that they met Orlando, their only non-biological member, who quickly became an essential part of the group.

The journey hasn’t been easy, but every step has been marked by hard work, dedication, and the unwavering support of their parents, who made it possible for the brothers to have the instruments and equipment needed to move forward. While they don’t have vast resources, they’re deeply grateful for everything they’ve accomplished through effort and persistence.

A key moment in their journey was winning a season of the Buscando Talento con David Olivarez competition, still under the name Los Hijos de Moreno—an achievement that gave their music career a major boost.
